a D&D London restaurant
Head Chef Robin Tarver joined the Royal Exchange Grand Café in May 2009. The menu at the Royal Exchange takes inspiration from the Grand Cafes of old Europe. Robin prides himself on continually evolving his menu, changing the specials on a daily basis, and putting a progressive French twist on Brasserie classics.
Robin's career began at the tender age of 13 when he lied about his age to obtain work at Angel in Midhurst under the tutelage of Andrew Stephenson and Peter Crawford Rolt.
After several years climbing the ranks in establishments ranging from high-end gastropubs to fine dining restaurants, Robin's passion for food took him around the world to over 25 countries where his talent for innovation grew as he experienced global cooking styles.
On his return to the UK, Robin widened his expertise by catering for private events of all sizes from weddings to dinner parties, cocktails parties and barbeques, to a growing clientele. In 2003, Robin became the head chef and owner of The Vale, Maida Vale, for six years. Under his ownership, the restaurant achieved great reviews and an enthusiastic set of regulars.
